i’m a solid-gold, righteous collector of grey. grey sweaters to be exact.
by now, i need to call it like it is- a shameful dependency. from the analyst’s couch- it probably exposes earlier years of desperately hoping to “blend”. growing up military, around the globe- one tends to always stand out. forever, the new girl, try being the new girl from another country. only fun in your twenties!
i’ll surprise most of my pals with this post on color. i’ll bet none of them realize that i looooove color. drenchy, drowny, syrupy pools, splashes and streams of rich, african-drumbeat-color. for me, color does not reside on the surface. it lives somewhere very very deep.
today, for the head-cheerleader of the clé team- joann locktov – a tribute to the real princepessa of color:

Thank you for this astonishing and beautiful display of brilliant color! It is so lovely to be associated with color and so interesting that like you I dress only in a monochromatic palette . For me it is black, even gray has too much light. Perhaps i’ve decided it is better to be a benign canvas, so that all the righteous hues of the world can dance around me, unencumbered.
interesting…i think the black is safety. or the vast milkyway of color reflected by all the tiles you share to the world would swallow you up into a quasar of color:)
